About the Greek Gematria Calculator
The Greek gematria calculator adds up the numerical values of Greek letters, a practice known as isopsephy. In the Greek system α = 1, β = 2 … ι = 10, κ = 20 … ρ = 100 and so on up to ω = 800. Classical writers and inscriptions sometimes used these values, and the calculator does the arithmetic for any Greek word.
How to use it
- 1Type a word in Greek letters (or a supported transliteration).
- 2Read the total and the value of each letter.
Worked example
αλφα = 1 + 30 + 500 + 1 = 532.
