Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, how CalcWisee ("we", "us", "our") handles your information when you visit calcwisee.com (the "Site"). We believe privacy should be simple and honest, so we wrote this page to be read — not just to check a legal box. If anything here is unclear, please reach out and we’ll explain it further.

1. Our promise to you

Protecting your privacy is not an afterthought at CalcWisee — it shaped how we built the site. Every calculator runs entirely in your browser, which means the numbers you type never travel to our servers in the first place. We collect as little as possible, we’re transparent about what that little bit is, and we never sell your personal information. This page documents everything we do collect, why we collect it, and the control you have over it.

2. The data we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum. Here’s the full picture:

2.1 Calculator inputs

The values you enter into a calculator — income, weight, dates, loan amounts, and so on — are processed locally in your browser using JavaScript. They are never transmitted to our servers, stored in a database, or shared with anyone. The moment you close or refresh the page, that input is gone for good.

2.2 Technical data collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers automatically log limited technical information when you visit: an approximate location (city or country level, derived from your IP address), your device and browser type, the page that referred you, which pages you viewed, and how long you stayed. This data is aggregated and used only to understand traffic patterns and improve the Site. It is never linked to your calculator inputs, and it is not used to identify you personally.

2.3 Information you give us directly

If you email us — directly or through our contact form, which simply opens a pre-filled email in your own mail app — we receive the details you choose to share — your name, email address, and message — solely to reply to you. We keep that correspondence only as long as we need it to resolve your request, then delete or securely archive it.

2.4 Favourites and recently used calculators

If you star a calculator as a favourite, or simply use one, its name is saved in your own browser’s local storage so the home page can show your favourites and recently used tools. This list never leaves your device, is not sent to us, and can be cleared at any time with the “Clear” button or by clearing your browser data.

3. Google AdSense advertising

CalcWisee uses Google AdSense to display ads. Those ads help us keep the site free and cover our server costs — they’re the reason we don’t charge a subscription. Our publisher ID is ca-pub-8087290056122689.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Google and its partners may use cookies to show you ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure how ads perform. The two main types are:

  • Personalized advertising cookies — used to show ads that match your interests and browsing history.
  • Measurement cookies — used to count ad impressions, track performance, and prevent the same ad from repeating too often.

You have the right to opt out of personalized advertising at any time through Google Ads Settings or the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page. Opting out doesn’t remove ads — it just makes them less targeted. See Google’s advertising policy for the full details.

As required by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), we publish an ads.txt file at https://calcwisee.com/ads.txt so advertisers can verify our authorized sellers.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use a small, sensible set of them:

  • Essential cookies — required for basic functionality, such as remembering your light or dark mode preference.
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used so we can improve it.
  • Advertising cookies — used by Google AdSense (as described above) to serve and measure relevant ads.

You’re in control. You can disable or delete cookies anytime through your browser settings, and disabling non-essential cookies won’t lock you out of any calculator. For more detail, see our dedicated Cookie Policy.

5. Your financial data stays yours

We want to be unambiguous about this: CalcWisee does not store any financial data. We don’t save credit card numbers, bank account details, loan applications, or any other sensitive financial information. Our financial calculators do their math in your browser and never transmit those inputs to our servers. Nothing is saved, nothing is shared, and nothing is sold. Your financial privacy is a priority, not a footnote.

6. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand, in broad strokes, how people use the Site — which pages are popular, how visitors find us, and what devices they use. The data collected is anonymous and aggregated: it tells us “how many” and “from where,” not “who you are.” We use it only to decide what to improve, fix, or build next. You can review Google’s privacy policy for more on how they handle data, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with a browser add-on if you prefer.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights over your personal data. We respect all of them, regardless of where you’re located.

7.1 GDPR (EU and UK visitors)

If you’re in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction or deletion of it, restrict or object to certain processing, receive your data in a portable format, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because we don’t require accounts and don’t store calculator inputs, we typically hold very little about you — limited server logs and, if you contacted us, your message.

7.2 CCPA/CPRA (California residents)

If you’re a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, correct inaccurate information, and opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information.

7.3 How to exercise your rights

To exercise any of these rights, simply email us at ayman@calcwisee.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We’ll respond promptly and help you through it.

8. Data security

We use industry-standard measures, including HTTPS encryption for data in transit, to protect the limited information we do process. No system is 100% secure, but because your calculator inputs never leave your browser, your most sensitive data is never exposed to a transmission risk in the first place.

9. Children’s privacy

CalcWisee is a general-audience educational tool and isn’t directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent where you live). We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has shared information with us, contact us and we’ll delete it.

10. International data transfers

Our service providers may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, those transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, as implemented by the providers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or the law. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date shown above so you always know which version you’re reading. Continuing to use the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy. We encourage you to check back occasionally.

12. Contact us

Questions about this Privacy Policy or your personal data are welcome. Email us at ayman@calcwisee.com or send a message through our Contact page. For data-privacy requests (GDPR or CCPA), please include “Privacy Request” in the subject line so we can prioritize it.
