About the Bike Pace Calculator
The bike pace calculator works with distance, time and average speed. Enter any two and it finds the third, so you can plan a ride, set a target speed or estimate how long a route will take.
How to use it
- 1Choose whether to find speed, time or distance.
- 2Enter the two values you know.
- 3Press Calculate.
Worked example
riding 40 km in 80 minutes is an average speed of 30 km/h.
How it works
Formula
Speed (km/h) = Distance (km) ÷ Time (h). Time (h) = Distance ÷ Speed. Distance (km) = Speed × Time.
Common use cases
- Planning rides and events
- Estimating arrival times
- Setting training targets
