About the Walking Calories Calculator

The walking calories calculator estimates energy burned from your weight, time and walking speed, with MET values from 2.5 for a slow stroll to 5 for power walking. Walking is the easiest activity to add to a day, and brisk walking counts as moderate-intensity exercise.

How to use it

  1. 1Enter your weight in kilograms.
  2. 2Enter the walking time.
  3. 3Choose the pace and press Calculate.

Worked example

30 minutes at a moderate 4.5 km/h for a 70 kg person burns about 3.5 × 70 × 0.5 ≈ 123 kcal.

How it works
